Delete your Ephemeria account

Version of 2 October 2026 · Translation provided for convenience; the French version prevails.

You can delete your account at any time, from the app or by email if you no longer have the app.

In the app

Open Settings.
Tap Delete my account.
Confirm.

Before that, you can download your data: Settings → Your data → Download my data.

Without the app

Email privacy@ephemeria.app from your account’s university email address, subject “Account deletion”.

We reply to that address to confirm, so nobody else can delete your account in your place.

What happens

Immediately: you are signed out, your profile is hidden and your access is revoked.
Within 30 days, usually within minutes: your data is erased. The app shows the real status of your request and never says “deleted” while erasure is still in progress.

When deletion has to wait

If a payment, refund, dispute or ticket transfer is still open, your request is accepted and completes as soon as it is resolved. We tell you.
If you are the only owner of an association, hand ownership over to another member first.

What we delete

Your profile, photos, posts and comments, messages, listings, notification tokens, follows and memberships, answers, uploaded files and usage measure.

What we keep, and why

Data	Period	Why
Orders, payments and refunds	10 years	French accounting obligation (Article L123-22 of the Commercial Code), for us and for the selling association. These records are linked to an anonymous key, no longer to you.
The events you attended	Life of the service	Recorded under an anonymous identifier, with your campus and, if one of them was scanned, your class year, and visible to no one: this is how the Class Sky keeps its anonymous counts (a point of light, not a person).
Moderation decisions	Life of the service	Kept without your identity, so that a moderation record cannot be erased by the person it concerns.
The other party’s Passport	Life of the service	A shared handoff or event stays in the other person’s history, without your identity.
Sign-up line	Life of the service	Without your identity: “an account was created at this university on this day”.
